We are always pleased to review new materials for possible publication. If you would like to submit a composition for publication consideration, the article “Submitting Music Manuscripts" should be helpful in the preparation of your manuscript. There are also several guidelines below:
- The Lorenz Corporation is currently only accepting submissions electronically. You may email a PDF of your work to Submit@Lorenz.com. Digital submissions in any other format (i.e Finale, Sibelius or audio files) will not be reviewed.
- The Lorenz Corporation is accepting unsolicited submissions only in the following categories:
- Sacred Piano
- Sacred Organ
- Sacred Choral (anthems only)
- Educational Choral (octavos only)
- Handbells
- Sacred Instrumental (solo/ensemble)
- Lessons, worksheets, or other teaching materials for our music classroom magazine, Activate!
- The Lorenz Corporation is not currently accepting unsolicited submissions in the following categories:
- Major Works
- Cantatas
- Musicals
- Collections (of any kind)
- String Orchestra
- String Ensembles
- Concert Band
- Jazz Band
- Educational Instrumental Ensembles
- Educational Piano
- All submissions should include a complete manuscript with all elements, including the accompaniment, fully and clearly notated. While you may include a recording with your submission, it will have little if any impact on the editorial committee’s decision.
If we are interested in publishing your work, you will receive a letter, a contract, or some other communication within 60 days. If you do not receive notification from us within 60 days, we are unable to publish your work, and the submitted files will be destroyed to ensure that your creative work is not duplicated. At the end of this 60-day period, you are free to send your submission to another publisher with our thanks for the opportunity to review your work.
Thank you for thinking of The Lorenz Corporation as a possible publishing home for your creative work.
